As you can see, the center of the panel – especially near the top – bends the most. This test was done on a 10-foot-wide panel at 4.6 feet high. The red area shows where the panel moves the most under pressure, while the blue edges show where it stays firm because it’s supported.

The wider the opening, the more pressure the panel has to handle in the middle. That’s why it’s important to request stronger, higher-integrity panels for wider spaces – so they don’t bend too much or risk breaking when water rises.

• Decide whether to mount the posts inside or outside the opening; outside placement often adds stability.
• Position the rubber seals facing the wall and orient the U-channel toward the area to be protected.
• Use a hammer drill to make holes for the included wall anchors.
• Insert and expand the anchors to secure the posts.
• Ensure posts are attached to a solid surface, such as concrete, cement, or cinderblock.

• Slide the aluminum panels into the U-channel slots on both sides of the opening.
• Loosen the top locking bracket and tightening bolts for smooth insertion.
• Check that each panel’s rubber seal faces downward to create a watertight connection with the ground.
• Press the bottom panel firmly in place and continue stacking panels until reaching the desired height.
• Place reflective warning tape at the top panel if included in your kit.

• Use the provided Allen wrench to tighten the panels against the internal rubber seals.
• Insert and tighten the top locking clamps to press the panels firmly together.
• Adjust the post bolts as needed to ensure a snug, watertight fit.

• Remove the panels in reverse order once the flood risk has passed.
• Clean off any debris and dry all components thoroughly.
• Store the panels and posts safely for future use.
