This flood barrier system is constructed from T6 aluminum, a material known for its strength and longevity. The interlocking aluminum planks are built to endure extreme conditions, including high winds and impacts from floating debris.
WATERTIGHT SEAL TECHNOLOGY
To minimize water intrusion, the Rubicon Flood Control incorporates a dual-seal design:
- EPDM Rubber Linings: Integrated into the slots of the U-Channel Posts for a tight seal.
- Plank Seals: The underside of each plank is equipped with EPDM rubber seals, providing additional protection.
EASY INSTALLATION AND UNOBTRUSIVE DESIGN
The system’s U-Channel Posts are permanently mounted on either side of the protected area, remaining discreet when not in use. During a flood threat, aluminum planks are inserted into the posts and stacked to the desired height. This quick and straightforward installation process ensures readiness when time is of the essence.
STRENGTH AND RELIABILITY UNDER PRESSURE
The Rubicon Flood Control system is designed to handle significant hydrostatic pressure, as well as severe weather conditions. Each plank is clamped tightly within the posts and secured from the top, ensuring the barrier remains firmly in place even under extreme stress.
